Clinical Psychologist, Dr Andrea Shortland has created a fun and engaging course for children aged 7-12 (and their adults) to help name and tame big emotions such as anger, anxiety and sadness.
Why we love this course
When your child is struggling with their emotions it can be genuinely distressing and hard to know how to help. If only you had access to a course made by a qualified Clinical Psychologist we hear you say…oh, here you go.
Dr Andrea Shortland uses techniques she has adapted from her therapeutic practice to help children understand, befriend and tame big emotions like anxiety, sadness and anger. The course is designed for parents and children to take together. This offers a real opportunity for you to bond with your child over these emotions rather than being seperated by them.
Each week, for six weeks, your child will be guided through 30-40 minutes of self-paced learning. It could be heavy, but it’s not. Andrea has made the content fun, engaging and appealing; with videos, interactive sessions and a workbook (or, lion taming manual, if you prefer).
At the end of the course, your child will have developed coping strategies that they can use again and again and you will have the skills and confidence to support them. Most importantly, they will feel heard and understood. That’s worth its weight in therapists couches.
You should book this course if
