Dr Andrea Shortland

Dr Andrea Shortland

Dr Andrea Shortland is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist specialising in trauma, anxiety and attachment difficulties in children, adults and families.

If you recognise Dr Andrea Shortland it’s because she was an onscreen psychologist for ‘WifeSwap the Aftermath’. No, really. If you think that’s the most impressive thing about her though, you’d be wrong. No, really.

More impressive is that Andrea has worked with children and families for over 20 years and now supervises and trains other psychologists and therapists.

She specialises in the assessment and treatment of trauma, anxiety and attachment difficulties in children, adults and families. She attributes her success working with teenagers to her Northern Irish humour and potty mouth.

She keeps it clean when working with children though and promises no swearing on the course we have featured.

Andrea is known for her innovative thinking and compassionate, friendly, fun and open approach to therapy.
