Siobhan is a brave, badass coach who rediscovered joy after 'giving it all up' to travel around South America. Alone. She now helps others find their joy, in whatever way works for them.
- Certified coach (Animas)
- PGCE and Masters Degree in Education
- Over 25 years of experience working in education as a teacher, trainer and coach
After 20 years working in education, Siobhan found herself running on empty.
She had all the ‘stuff’ you’re supposed to have; great friends and family, good job, nice home – lots to be grateful for, but when she looked down the barrel of the BIG 4-0, she realised she needed to make some changes. She needed to find more joy in her life again. And that required action.
Most people would probably get a dog / tattoo / child / sports car but not Siobhan. Siobhan got herself a life coach and, after that, a bloody great rucksack that she took with her on a solo trip around South America. She learnt Spanish and had many the adventure on a full-blown mid-life crisis that was wholly exhilarating and, as she had hoped, joyful.
After the travelling bug subsided she found she had learnt two things:
- Major life change is possible, even for the most risk averse people pleaser (old Siobhan)
- All of us have an inner reserve of joy that we can tap into, we just need to find it.
So, rather than returning to the life she had before, she retrained as a life-coach and moved to the West of England to build a new life that better suited the ‘new and improved’ Siobhan.
Now she gets her kicks from helping other people get more out of their lives. She won’t preemptively buy you a one-way ticket to South America (more’s the pity) but she will help you to figure out what you need more (or less) of in your life to experience as much joy as possible.
So, you can still get the tattoo if you like, but maybe hold off on the baby / dog / car until you’ve had a good coaching convo with Siobhan. You couldn’t fit them into your rucksack anyway.
